The locals wanted us to hand-carry our camping equipment two miles to a river campsite. They never told us there was a little park right behind the general store where we could set up our tents among the prickly weeds for just $1.50 a person which we gladly paid. Everyone in our group was cheerful and resilient for which I am very thankful.
