Free sermons and illustration databases designed especially for Evangelical Christian workers |
The entire Kerux sermon and illustration database can take a long time to download, especially if you have a phone modem. (The SID mega-database file is 373 megabytes in size, compressed.) I offer the program on a CD which contains four files -- a readme.doc to give instructions on installation, my helpfile-based sermon archive, and both the SID and Access installation files (Access comes in the XP~2002 version; if you want the Access97 version you must inform me when you order). You should only install one of these, depending on the software you already own. If you own Microsoft Access, install that version of the database. If you do not have Access, install the SID version. Both contain the same sermons and sermon illustrations. I have put together the Access version and Iain in New Zealand has compiled the SID version.
I ask for $2 to cover the cost of the CD and the mailing expense. Since many commercial (and even Christian) companies offer "free" CDs and then charge $5.95 for shipping and handling, I believe my CD qualifies as "less than free." If you are a missionary serving overseas, or a national pastor in Asia, Africa or South America, I will consider sending you the CD for no cost (at bottom of page, see the list of countries so far). Contact me by email at dholwick@gmail.com to let me know your situation. I can do this because pastors in the United States have often sent a little more than $2. My goal is to break even, period. You can pass the CD around to anyone who wants it, as long as you do not charge for it. I will send one CD per address. After you receive and install the CD you can keep it updated from my supplement page; please do not order a new CD every few months!

I am not a businessman but a regular pastor and I don't have lots of extra time to put these together, so I would ask you to test the program before ordering the CD.
