Installing the database
Those who own the Microsoft Access 2007 and 2010 program can open the database immediately. Those who do not own it can install a free "runtime" version from Microsoft and then they can open the database.
Here is the process:
- Download and install the Microsoft Access runtime program:
If the first file listed (64-bit) doesn't work, try the next one (32-bit).
- After you install the runtime Access program and install the database, you will probably be told: “A potential security concern has been identified” and asked if you trust the source. Click "open". (Later you can designate C:\Kerux as a trusted location)
- An error message may pop up - a procedure call function is not working. Close the error message. We don't know what causes this error on some computers but the database seems to work correctly anyway.
Please report any unusual events or problems to Pastor David Holwick at firstname.lastname@example.org so he can pass it on to people who know much more than he does.
