Make Your Own Sermon Archive

Your can produce your own sermon or illustration archive like my Win98 files.  The compiler program is shareware that you can try for free and purchase for $40. It is called helpMATIC Pro and helps you create a Windows help file.

Believe it or not, this is an excellent format for sermon archives. I paste in sermons from Word 97 and the formatting, fonts, indentation and colors are all preserved. (Tabs can only be left-aligned, however.) By filling in keywords for each sermon you automatically create an index. The entire archive is also searchable.

I can supply you with a template especially geared for preachers. The extra compiling files that are required are available free from Microsoft; and he provides links to them. The author, Harbinder Ghag, is very good about responding to email. helpMATIC Pro can be downloaded by clicking here. For a template file that can be loaded into helpMATIC Pro and produces a sermon archive, click here. (The helpmatic working file ends in .HMP and the compiled file ends in .HLP)
