Illustration and Sermon database

The Kerux database is available in a mega-database which contains everything on this page in a single file, in both SID and Access2002 and Access97 formats.

For those who don't have broadband modems, you can order a CD or assemble a mega-database of your own from the components listed below.  The current illustration sets in (1a) contain all of the annual supplements in (1b); they also contain all the Holiday supplements in (3).  The annual supplements are most helpful for those with older databases who want to make them current.

All users should download illustration and sermon supplements that are more recent than their main collection.  Hundreds of duplicates have been identified and replaced through these supplements, and new material is added all the time.  Do not add supplements that are older than what you already have, or you will end up with obsolete records!  To establish the date of your database, sort the records by "date entered", ignoring the records you have added yourself.  Then find the supplements below that are more recent that the newest date in your database.

A word of advice - if you are adding all these sets at one time in MS Access, you will need to compact the database at this point.  On the menu bar at the top of the program click TOOLS, then DATABASE UTILITIES, then COMPACT.  It also helps to close and restart the program.

All of these supplements are included in the sermon sets above.  These supplements are intended for users who have already assembled a large database and want to keep up-to-date.  When you add multiple sets, be sure and compact the database occasionally, especially if you get the message "Database has reached maximum size."  On the menu bar at the top of the program click TOOLS, then DATABASE UTILITIES, then COMPACT.
